हॉलीवुड सुपरस्टार और पर्यावरणविद लियोनाडरे डिकैप्रियो ने अमेजन वर्षावन में लगी आग के कम मीडिया कवरेज को लेकर सवाल खड़ा किया और अपनी इस चिंता को इंस्टाग्राम पर साझा किया। लियोनाडरे ने अमेजन वर्षावन में लगी आग की एक तस्वीर पोस्ट करते हुए उसके कैप्शन में लिखा, “अमेजन धरती पर सबसे बड़ा वर्षावन है, धरती का 20 प्रतिशत ऑक्सीजन यही उत्सर्जित करता है, मूलत: यह दुनिया का फेफड़ा है, जिसमें पिछले 16 दिनों से आग लगी हुई है और यह जल रहा है, यह सोचते हुए दिल दहल उठ रहा है कि इस पर वस्तुत: कोई मीडिया कवरेज नहीं है! क्यों?”
